Why I built Halal Halves.

Assalamu alaykum. I'm the founder of Halal Halves. I'm from London, UK, and studied economics — which taught me one very stubborn idea: the choices we're offered shape the decisions we make. Give people good data and dignified options, and they'll usually make good calls. Give them noise, and they suffer.

For years, I've watched too many practicing brothers and sisters — some of them my closest friends and family — struggle to find the right person. Not because they weren't ready, or weren't good people. But because the platforms available to them were either hostile to their deen or indifferent to their families.

Meanwhile, in my own life, I've been quietly involved in helping friends, family, and associates make matches that turned into blessed marriages. Alhamdulillah. None of this exists without my wife. Halal Halves has been built alongside her — her sabr, her sharp eye for what a sister actually needs on a platform like this, and her insistence that dignity comes before design. She is my closest advisor and the reason this platform feels the way it does. May Allah bless her, and every wife who has stood next to a husband's dream in quiet ways.

So I built Halal Halves to bring both together — the modern convenience of a beautiful app, and the ancient wisdom of family involvement. Wali oversight, values-first matching, voice-only introductions, private-blur profiles, and an AI that actually explains why two people might align. Sisters are free forever. Brothers pay because they're serious. Everyone is treated with adab.
